B-Stock
The SRI-2 audio interface from Fluid Audio is also a monitor controller for two pairs of speakers. Analogue signals are digitised with up to 24 bit/192 kHz, resulting in a very high sound quality. In addition, the SRI-2 scores with a very wide dynamic range. The first-class Class A microphone preamplifiers with 48V phantom power, together with the transparent-sounding A/D converters, guarantee accurate detail in every recording.
High-Resolution Desktop Music Production
Good ergonomics are a must, so we placed the SRI-2’s two inputs on the front panel for convenient source switching, eliminating the need for tedious rear panel plugging. In addition, the audio interface has an angled control surface and illuminated buttons and knobs to keep everything in view, even in darker environments. Whether you’re grinding in an electric guitar or recording vocals with a condenser mic, all switches are within intuitive reach.
The portable studio with Cubase software
The compact design and USB power supply make the SRI-2 portable and eliminate the need for a power supply. You can even use it with an iPad: the second micro-USB port allows you to power it with a powerbank or standard USB power supply, just like any smartphone. The USB 2.0 connection provides enough power to operate even large professional headphones without restrictions in volume, whether at the desk or on the road. The SRI-2 comes bundled with Steinberg’s Cubase LE DAW, a very comprehensive software for recording, editing, mixing and music production. Of course, the SRI-2 is also compatible with many other popular DAWs, such as Pro Tools, Studio One, Ableton Live, etc.
Solid construction
The aluminium housing not only looks good, but is also extremely robust and stable. The large volume control is also made of aluminium and rubberised at the edge for precise adjustment. All buttons have clearly defined pressure points and the knobs offer just the right amount of resistance to make precise adjustments.
